Trace Bryant

CHS track's Trace Bryant clears six feet in the high jump Saturday during the Red Raider Night of Miles. The high jump was one of ten events the senior participated in during the two-day state decathlon in Clarkesville.

Trace Bryant wrapped up the first event of his 2019 state push for Central High School track and field Friday, May 17 at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville. The senior finished the two-day event in ninth place. 

Bryant opened day one Thursday, May 16 with the 100-meter dash, pole vault, discus throw, triple jump and the 400-meter dash. By the day's end he was in 12th place overall with 2,605 points.

A strong start Friday began with a 17.52-second 110-meter hurdles finish to move into 10th place. Bryant advanced further with a 20' 8" finish in the long jump to secure the ninth spot. The final three events were the high jump, shot put and 1500-meter run.

Bryant finished with 5,412 points total.
