Brayden Dixon

Brayden Dixon prepares to go up for a basket Monday night. Dixon led the Rockets with five points for the night.

The Westwood boys returned to the court Monday night for a home game against Forrest Middle. The Rockets struggled to keep up with Forrest’s offense and settled for a 44-24 loss.

“We’re just making the same mistakes that we have been earlier in the year and unfortunately if you do those things it’s hard to win ball games,” Coach Will Pannell said.

Westwood was able to keep it close in the first quarter off shots from Brayden Dixon, Cayden Trail and Eli Felice. Offensive issues revolving around turnovers helped swell Forrest’s lead to 33-15 going into the fourth quarter.

Caiden and Jaiden Warren helped find buckets in the final minutes but it wouldn’t be enough to overcome Westwood’s deficit.

Brayden Dixon led the Rockets with five points on the night. Jayden Carter, Caiden Warren and Jaiden Warren had four each. Eli Felice notched a single three-pointer to finish with three points. Brayden Trail hit a free throw for one point.
