CCMS soccer falls to Harris
Coffee County Middle School girls' soccer hit the road on Wednesday, September 18, to play a makeup game against Harris. The Lady Raiders were unable to find a goal in a 7-0 loss.
By halftime the Eaglettes had jumped out to a three-goal lead, with four more in the second half. Jasmine Norris recorded the only shot on goal for CCMS.
Sydney Gilley finished the game with 15 saves.
In the JV game, CCMS kept it closer but fell 2-0.
CCMS volleyball defeats South Franklin
Coffee County Middle School volleyball made the trip to Cowan on Wednesday, September 18, to take on South Franklin. The Lady Raiders did not surrender a set to win their final conference match 2-0.
The girls opened it up in the first set with a dominant 25-4 win. South Franklin played a more competitive second set, but CCMS held on to win 25-15 and seal the match.
The JV team also earned a 2-0 victory.
Westwood volleyball falls at Tullahoma
Westwood Middle School volleyball traveled to Tullahoma on Wednesday, September 18, to take on the Lady Cats. After falling to South Lincoln on the road the day before, the Lady Rockets dropped a pair of close sets in a 0-2 loss.
The team lost both sets to the Lady Cats by scores of 19-25. This was an improvement over Tuesday's defeat, where Westwood fell 14-25 in the first and 11-25 in the second.
