Coffee County Central High School softball player Sarah West has been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association South Region first team.
West is a rising junior at CHS. She was one of only two Tennessee players named to the all-region team, which consists of eight states.
West paced the Coffee County offense throughout the 2018 season, hitting at a clip of .495 with 38 RBIs and an .871 slugging percentage. She tied for the team lead in home runs with four and walked 10 times.
For Coffee County, West played first base, second base, catcher and in the outfield. She was named to the team as a “utility player.”
West is currently verbally committed to play college softball for the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky. She was also selected to The Tennessean All-Midstate second team.
