The Coffee County Middle School continued their undefeated season on Sept. 15 as the team traveled to Warren County to take on the Pioneers. The Red Raiders had been putting on an offensive show the past few weeks scoring nearly 28 points in the first half alone during the time period. The Red Raiders didn’t have any trouble duplicating the feat as the team scored 21 points in the first quarter against the Pioneers, before letting the Junior Varsity come into the game.
Cole Pippenger was comfortable the entire offensive series he was involved with. Pippenger put passes over the top of the Pioneer defense on two separate occasions, while a long run from Carter Conry push the score in a spot where coach Bryan Morgan felt comfortable taking his first team out.
Eighth grader Hannah Proctor went in for Pippenger at the end of the first quarter. Proctor led the Red Raiders down the field capping off the drive with a diving run for the score. She then led the team down the field once more to set up a field goal try that was successful.
Defensively the Red Raiders shut down the Pioneers as the team was unable to score during the contest, giving the Red Raiders a 31 to 0 win.
