Powers Storage and Clowers Automotive square off in 12U division

Clowers pitcher focuses on the pitch versus powers storage in 12u matchup.

The 12U division of Manchester Youth Summer League continued on June 26 with Powers Storage at Clowers Automotive. The game began with both teams scoring four runs each, as both pitchers were feeling out the batters. The fast scoring caused both defenses to quickly shape up for the second inning.

The scoring was slowed down significantly in the second inning as the pitchers had settled in to the game. Clower managed to score one run during the inning before their efforts were halted. Powers was not quite as fortunate as the team couldn’t stay on the bases.

The third inning saw the game slip away from Powers as the team faced a quick three and out. Clowers was much more fortunate as the team quickly took advantage of the lack of scoring from Powers. Clowers scored eight runs in the inning jumping ahead to a 13-4 lead.

The fourth and final inning saw a comeback attempt from Powers Storage. The team started strong with Brylon Lester, Matt Hill, and Ethan Mckenzie scoring a run a piece, while Ethan Humby, Josh Harris, and Maddox Gasen both put themselves in scoring position. The comeback was not to be however as the rally ended after three runs scored with Clowers 13-Powers 7.
