Chico's batter Hunter Stoner swings for the fences against State Farm.

After inclement weather halted any games the night prior, the baseball action resumed on July 24 when Chico’s visited State Farm in the 10U division. The game began with a pitching display from State Farm. The team was able to strike out every batter that Chico’s put in front of them. State Farm’s hitting took a bit to warm up however, as the team was able to get on base but were unable to score save for one run scored by Brody Christian.

The second inning had State Farm once again putting on a pitching display, as the team forced another three strike outs. Offensively the team was able to find more success than in the previous inning. Hyatt Moss, Trey Sullivan, and Eason Kinson all found their way to home plate.

State Farm put the contest away in the third inning, as the team once again struck out all three batters that Chico’s presented. The team had also settled into their hitting rhythm scoring eight runs in the inning courtesy of Moss, Christian, Xander Meeks, Levi Rossman, Cain Abed, Cooper Aison, Randall Harrison, and Kinson.

Chico’s was able to get some runners in scoring position such as Dayton Cork and Jude Harrison, but could not send those runners home ending the game Chico’s 0-State Farm 12.
