Bush Insurance 9

A seven run seventh inning was all the insurance that Bush Insurance needed to drop Powers Storage 9-4 Friday night.

Ellis Pichulo scored a pair of runs and Raiden Sain hit a pair of singles to lead the Bush offense.

Powers took a brief 4-1 lead in the second thanks to the bottom of its lineup. Landon Daniels singled and four straight walks followed to help push runners around. Daniels, Grant McCullough, Jayson Overman and Matthew Sherrill all scored runs for Powers.

Sain picked up the win on the mound, striking out 11 batters in four innings of work. McCullough struck out four batters on the mound for Powers.

Shelter Insurance 0

Peoples Bank 8

Blayne Myers dominated on the mound for Peoples Bank, tossing a shutout and strikeout out 8 batters to lead Peoples to an 8-0 win over Shelter Insurance.

Offensively, Peoples scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning to set the tone for the day. Jayden Carter singled and Lucas Beaty walked, followed by a fielder’s choice RBI from Tim Henderson and a single from Myers. Wyatt Lowe doubled home Myers and Gauge Marcom singled in a run and later scored.

Myers, Lowe and Marcom all reached base and scored again in the third. Chase Bryce added an RBI single in the third.

Al White 5

Shelter Insurance 12

Al White plated four runs in the fifth inning but couldn’t catch up to Shelter Insurance, which won 12-5 Tuesday, June 12 at Fred Deadman Park.

Shelter built too big of a lead early – scoring nine runs over the first two innings, most coming in a seven-run second inning. Knox Wimberley, Dylan Hickerson, England Bryan and Alex Kilgore all scored two runs apiece for Shelter. Wimberley contributed a single and a triple at the plate, while Bryan added a pair of singles and a double.

Gus Carden, Gavin English, Jaiden Foster and Dylan Estelle also scored runs for Shelter.

For Al White, Braxton Hopkins led the way at the plate with two singles and two runs scored. Jordan Robinson and Jayden Stephens both singled and scored runs and Jeremiah Johnson doubled and scored.

All Creatures 12

Clower Automotive 3

Elijiah Vernon and Ian Smith each homered to help All Creatures beat the brakes off Clower Automotive 12-3 Thursday, June 14.

In fact, all but one player scored at least one run for All Creatures. Riley Evans singled twice and scored twice; Smith tripled, homered and scored twice; Jonathan West singled three times and scored a run; Trace Stevens tripled and scored in the sixth inning and Brylan Lester singled twice and scored one run.

All three of Clower’s runs were scored in the first inning.

Smith picked up the win on the mound for All Creatures.

First Vision Bank 11

Fischer USA 1

First Vision Bank scored seven runs in the second inning and Eli Hancock was solid on the mound to power First Vision past Fischer Thursday, June 14.

Jakob Cornelson scored the lone run for Fischer after smacking a single in the fourth inning and later scoring.

Peoples Bank 17

Powers Storage 1

Nine of the 10 players scored at least one run for Peoples Bank in a decisive 17-1 win over Powers Storage Tuesday, June 12.

Tim Henderson hit a home run, singled twice and scored three runs to help lead the Peoples offense. Jayden Carter singled three times and scored three runs; meanwhile, Blayne Myers doubled, singled, homered and scored three runs.

Jason Reed scored the lone run for Powers after reaching on a single in the third inning.
