The Coffee County golf team got on the road to take on Franklin County Thursday.

The Red Raiders came out on top of the Rebels, shooting a 157 to finish ahead of Franklin County’s 174.

On the girls’ side, the Lady Raiders finished the day with a team score of 140. Franklin County’s only girls’ golfer, Allyson Orr, shot a 62.

Jaxon Phillips led Coffee County’s boys’ scorers with a round of 37. Levi Rossman followed with a 39. Carter Bell added a 40. Rylan Melson rounded out the Red Raider golfers whose rounds contributed to the overall team score with a 41.

Karaline Matthews led the Lady Raiders with a score of 44. Karsyn Riddle shot a 47. Mackenzie Ragland finished her day with a 49.

Westwood 3, Community 0

The Lady Rockets picked up a home shutout over the Viqueens Thursday evening.

Italia Orpineda led the way with two goals. Raegan Sample had one.

Westwood travels to Cascade for a 5:30 p.m. game Monday.

The Lady Raiders came away with a scoreless home draw Wednesday evening. The result marked the team’s third straight game without a loss, following wins over Community on the road Tuesday and Witthorne at home last Thursday.

Coffee County will close out the regular season at home against Harris at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
