80s Party returning to Common John

Get ready for a fun blast from the past as Common John Brewing Co. officially kicks off their 2026 Summer Concert Series with what the venue calls “the most electric party of the year.”
Common John’s annual 80s Party will take place on April 25th and feature a performance from Mixtape- The Ultimate 80s Tribute Experience who promise to deliver a night of total 80s nostalgia.
The Mixtape show is described as a “full-on multimedia time machine.” While other tribute acts tend to stick to a specific band or artist, Mixtape’s setlist traverses the entirety of the 80s music catalog.
Attendees are encouraged to dress the part and come to the event sporting their best 80s style.
“Whether it’s neon spandex, leather jackets, high-top sneakers, or your favorite vintage band tee, come dressed for the era,” the venue encourages on its website. “This is more than a concert— it’s a decade-wide costume party, and we’re ready to see who brings the best “totally tubular” energy to Manchester.”
The show promises visual nostalgia with a massive video display that features iconic music video moments that will transport attendees back to “the golden era of music television.” Mixtape also promises the “best setlist in Tennessee” with talented singers and musicians in the region offering dance-worthy music throughout the event.
While parking is free on-site for the 80s Party, Common John encourages ticketholders to get to the event early to grab a seat or bring a lawn chair to ensure optimal seating for the show.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door if available. $5 from every ticket sold will go to the Dusty Elam Foundation who helps support local families and children with disabilities, living out their mission of “Looking out for those without.”
Gates open at 6 p.m. The opening act will kick off the show at 6:30 p.m. and mixtape will take the stage at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased in advance on the Common John website or at Common John Brewing Co.
