Coffee County closed out the regular season with a home loss to Warren County Thursday afternoon. The Lady Raiders had one doubles win for the team of Carrington Saner and Illy Allen on the way to a 6-1 loss. The Red Raiders were unable to secure a match win on the way to falling 7-0.

Coffee County softball traveled to Fayetteville for a rematch with Lincoln County Thursday evening. The Lady Raiders were once again shut out by the Class 4A District 6 foe, falling 11-0 in four-and-a-half innings this time around to give Lincoln County the regular-season sweep.

Coffee County baseball’s five-game winning streak ended in a road loss in Smyrna Thursday. Taking on Stewarts Creek, the Red Raiders fell 8-4 to the Redhawks.

Lady Raiders rout Shelbyville
Four and a half innings was all Coffee County softball needed to pick up a district win last Tuesday night.Hosting Shelbyville, the Lady Raiders got on the board early but exploded for nine runs in the bottom of the fourth to seal an 11-1 victory over the Golden Eaglettes. This was also the team’s second straight district win.Scoreless after one inning, Coffee County got on the board in the bottom of the second when Yeidy Cruz drove in Maggie Montgomery from second base on a line drive. The Lady Raiders added to their lead in the bottom of the third inning when Bailey Hale ran home from second on a line drive from Lily Norman.

The Coffee County flag football team checked off a program milestone at Carden-Jarrell Field Thursday night.Taking on Warren County, the first-year Lady Raider squad may have fallen 21-0, but it marked their first time suiting up for a home game in front of their fans.
