The Coffee County high school and middle cross country teams, as well as the Westwood cross country team, were all in action at the Webb School this past Saturday.

Taking part in the John Freeman Invitational, the Lady Raiders finished in seventh out of eight teams in the high school girls’ standings with 152 points. The Red Raiders took 14^th out of 15 teams in the boys’ high school team standings with 348 points.

Girls’ Preparatory School took the top spot in the girls’ team standings with 51 points, while Cookeville secured first place on the boys’ side with 35 points.

In the middle school division, the Westwood girls’ team finished in 10^th place with 272 points. Coffee County rounded it out in 18^th place out of 18 teams with 470 points. On the boys’ side, Westwood finished 22^nd out of 22 teams with 630 points. Coffee County had boys’ middle school runners, but did not have enough runners listed to be included among the team standings.

Mt. Juliet took first place among both the middle school girls’ and boys’ team standings with 45 points and 81 points, respectively.

Ashleigh Johnson led Coffee County’s girls’ high school runners with a seventh-place finish at a time of 21:37.53. Other finishes for the Lady Raiders included Cadence Darden (44^th, 25:15.32), Lilly Keenan (54^th, 26:27.50), Anna Prince (61^st, 28:45.90), Anna Robertson (64^th, 29:13.87) and Payton Thomas (74^th, 32:06.10).

The Red Raiders’ boys’ runners were led by Aiden Hayes in 72^nd place with a time of 22:01.64.  Additional Coffee County boys’ high school finishes included Wyatt Hess (73^rd, 22:02.42), Natalio Moreno-Rivera (100^th, 23:46.36), Ethan Hayes (104^th, 24:10.54), Samuel Rogers (106^th, 24:14.49), Kaydan Morris (110^th, 25:04.69), Samuel Hockett (118^th, 25:44.28), Bradley Lazalier (126^th, 27:12.86), Ezekiel Gandarilla (127^th, 27:27.99) and Peyton VanMeter (129^th, 27:42.45).

In the middle school girls’ race, Westwood’s Diana Segovia led local runners with a ninth-place finish at a time of 13:56.18. Other Lady Rocket finishes included Lyza Cashion (87^th, 18:03.24, Audrey Sain (92^nd, 18:15.18), Julia Barnett (94^th, 18:20.28), Jillian Monroe (101^st, 18:58.02), Piper Huddy (169^th, 25:12.30), Amelia Davis (170^th, 25:14.60), Kennedy Steele (177^th, 28:39.45), Georgia Taylor (179^th, 29:59.33) and Lilly Driver (180^th, 30:03.93).

Westwood’s boys’ runners were led by Zion Massey with a 147^th-place finish at a time of 15:33.36. Additional finishes for the Rockets included Asher Lusby (226^th, 18:10.38), Laine Jones (227^th, 18:12.33), Matthew Levingood (237^th, 18:43.24) and Cayden Barnes (243^rd, 19:11.89).

Coffee County’s top middle school finisher was Nicolas Gonzalaz, who took 20^th in the boys’ race at a time of 12:55.18. Other boys’ runners for Coffee County included Carter Keenan (259^th, 21:29.51) and Leo Gandarilla (265^th, 23:23.77).

Charlette Hysell led the middle school Lady Raiders with a 113^th-place finish at a time of 19:36.02. Other Coffee County girls’ finishes included Evelyn Shelton (114^th, 19:37.03), Audree Young (142^nd, 21:25.73), Blakely Boehman (145^th, 21:42.55) and Eliza Weitzel (166^th, 24:16.47).
