The Westwood football team was back in action following its bye week Thursday evening.

Hosting Forrest, the Rockets fell 28-6, with the Westwood offense held to 75 yards of offense throughout.

The loss wrapped up Westwood’s regular season with a 6-2 record.

Westwood beats Liberty

The Lady Rockets traveled to Shelbyville to take on Liberty Thursday, taking care of business with a 3-0 win to qualify for the regional tournament.

Raegan Sample, Lois Wilcox and Ashlyn Allen each had one goal.

The win also secured Westwood back-to-back district titles.

CCMS falls to Battle Creek

The Lady Raiders traveled to Battle Creek for their regular-season finale Thursday, ultimately returning home with a loss.

Up next for Coffee County is the postseason, with district tournament play beginning Monday.

Westwood splits district tournament openers

The Lady Rockets began postseason play with a pair of double-elimination district tournament matches at Unity Tuesday.

Opening the evening against Highland Rim, Westwood came out on top in three sets before falling to Unity in two sets in the Lady Rockets’ second match. Westwood will continue district tournament play Monday.
