Jones named 2026 Manchester Good Scout Award recipient

Coffee County resident Denton Jones was named 2026 Manchester Good Scout Award during the Good Scout Event on April 9 at The Church@117.
A lifelong resident of Coffee County, Tennessee, Jones dedicated 46 years to the banking industry. He began his career in 1980 at First National Bank in Manchester and has since held leadership roles at Citizens Bank, American Bank, and First National Bank. Since 2016, he has served as Executive Vice President and Senior Loan Officer at Peoples Bank & Trust Co.
A graduate of the Tennessee School of Banking at Vanderbilt University and the Mid South School of Banking at the University of Memphis, Denton is deeply committed to his community through his involvement with the Manchester Kiwanis Club and his service as a deacon and trustee at Forest Mill Baptist Church.
Manchester Friends of Scouting Chair Brad Goodwin organized the event. Also participating were Colin Robertson, Life Scout, Troop 314 and MTC Scout Executive Robert Johnson.
