The Coffee County golf team got its 2026 season started with some low scores on Monday.

Hitting the road to take part in the Lawrenceburg Invitational, the Red Raider A team shot a 307 to finish in a tie for second out of 20 teams in the boys’ standings. The Coffee County boys’ B team finished fifth with a score of 313. Tournament host Lawrence County took the top spot in the boys’ competition.

On the girls’ side, the Lady Raiders finished third out of 11 teams with a score of 185. Summertown’s A and B teams took first and second.

Jaxon Phillips posted the lowest individual score for the Coffee County boys’ A team, finishing his round with a 74. Levi Rossman followed with a 75 on the day. Both Rylan Melson and Carter Bell shot a 79. While the top four scorers made up the team’s final tally, Jayden Melton also shot an 86.

The Red Raider B team was led by Cole Williams with a 74 on the day. Up next was Ben Crabtree with a 77. Dax Carney, Blaine Bonner and Tanner Daugherty each shot an 81, with two of the three counting towards the team’s official score.

Individual girls’ scores for Coffee County included Karaline Matthews, who finished her round with an 87. Karsyn Riddle followed with a 98.
