The Coffee County girls’ soccer team kicked off its preseason slate with a scrimmage victory Tuesday evening.

Taking on Middle Tennessee Christian, the Lady Raiders returned home with a dominant 8-2 victory over the Lady Cougars.

Coffee County returns to Murfreesboro for a scrimmage against Blackman at 7 p.m. next Tuesday, before closing out the preseason at home against Forrest at 6 p.m. next Thursday. The Lady Raiders will begin the 2026 regular season at home against Giles County at 6 p.m. on August 18.

Westwood 2, Highland Rim 0

The Lady Rockets opened their home slate with a straight-set victory Tuesday, winning by set scores of 25-21 and 25-16.

Westwood (1-1) travels to Lynchburg for a tri-match against Moore County and Unity Thursday. The Lady Rockets will open the evening against Moore County at 5 p.m. before taking on Unity at 6 p.m.

The Lady Rockets opened their 2026 regular season with a three-set loss at Warren County Monday.

After falling 25-23 in the first set, Westwood tied up the match with a 25-19 win in the second set. In the decisive final set, the Lady Pioneers came out on top 15-10 to send the Lady Rockets home with a loss.
