MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A driver died after a crash Tuesday night in Whitehaven, police said.

The crash was reported just after 10:30 p.m. near the intersection of East Raines Road and Boeingshire Drive, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD). Officers arrived to learn that a car veered off the road and hit a tree, killing the driver, police said.

MPD said the driver died on impact.

No other details were released.
