Video shows moments 18-year-old shot outside Parkway Village home
MEMPHIS, Tenn. – FOX13 obtained new video that shows the moment a group of teens were shot at in the front yard of a home in Parkway Village.
The person who lives in the house said she never expected her front yard to become a crime scene.
She told FOX13 she rents the house, but after this she won’t be renewing that lease.
She has two kids and said she hasn’t been able to sleep since the incident occurred.
“It shook me up. I haven’t really wanted to be at the house,” the resident said.
This woman saw her front yard become a crime scene on Monday.

She has asked not to be identified for safety.
In the ring camera video she provided, you can see three boys on her lawn doing yardwork to make some extra money while school was off on Monday.
A car drives by; finally, you hear a shot, and the boys scatter.
That’s when the woman ran outside.
“Initially, I didn’t even think it was a gunshot. I thought maybe the boys had thrown a brick or something in the window. So that’s why I came outside, because if it were a gunshot, if I knew it was a gunshot, I wouldn’t have come outside like that,” the woman said.
In the hours after the shooting, FOX13 spoke to the woman’s sister, who was visiting at her house.

She told us she believed the boys were not the intended target of the shooting.
Within minutes after the incident police arrested five people in a black Nissan on Creighton Avenue.
Four young men and a 17-year-old girl are charged with attempted second-degree murder, among other charges.
“They told me that they captured the suspects; they stayed close by, which is one of my reasons why I’m thinking about moving. Because it’s really too close to home, and I wasn’t expecting anything like this,” the woman said.
