Collierville police officer on leave after domestic violence allegations, department confirms
COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — A Collierville police officer has been placed on administrative leave following allegations of domestic violence, the department confirmed Wednesday.
In a statement, the Collierville Police Department (CPD) said it was “aware” of an off-duty incident in Fayette County involving Ofc. David Haley.
“The department takes allegations of this nature very seriously,” the department said.

CPD said it has opened an internal affairs investigation “to review the circumstances surrounding the incident.”
Court documents allege that Haley was arguing with his girlfriend at a home in Fayette County when they began fighting. Both claim they were repeatedly punched by the other person.
The couple told deputies that they had been drinking alcohol.
