CCSD deputy arrested in Murfreesboro

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office confirms that on July 12, Deputy Miles White was arrested by Murfreesboro Police Department, on charges including Public Intoxication, Resist Stop, Frisk, Halt, Arrest or Search, and two counts of Assault on a First Responder.
Deputy White was off duty at the time of the incident. Upon notification of the arrest, information was gathered, and Deputy White was terminated from his employment with the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office.
Coffee County Sheriff’s Office said in an announcement it holds all of its employees to the highest professional and ethical standards.
“Law enforcement officers must be accountable for their actions, on and off duty. We are committed to transparency and will cooperate fully with the investigation being conducted by the appropriate authorities in Rutherford County,” said Sheriff Partin.
He emphasized that incidents like this, while unfortunate, must be addressed directly and responsibly.
“Public trust is earned through accountability. We will not tolerate behavior that undermines the integrity of this office or the community we serve,” he said in the release.
