TUA questions Manchester Water Board statements

John Coffelt, Editor

Tullahoma Utility Authority President/CEO Allen Potter provided to the Manchester Times a clarification on a comparison of the water rates between Tullahoma and Manchester.

“I want to provide the facts so residents and readers can make an informed comparison,” Potter said.

While Manchester’s rate is lower at exactly 2,000 gallons, TUA customers pay less at 4,000 gallons and beyond.”

Potter said that the average Tullahoma household usage usually falls into the 4,000 gallon range.

“TUA’s structure benefits families and households that use more than the minimum amount.  This does not include the proposed 5% increase. I’m not offering an opinion on Manchester’s rates—I simply want to provide the facts so the public has accurate information for comparison,” Potter said.
