Garrett Sager, co-owner and operator of Henley Propane in Manchester, was recently recognized as one of the top five young professionals in the propane industry at the National Propane Gas Association’s Southeastern Expo, held Saturday, April 5 in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Among the honorees, Sager stood out as the only representative from an independently owned propane company—an achievement that reflects both his personal dedication and the legacy of Henley Propane.
Sager joined the family business in 2020 alongside his father-in-law, Brett Henley. The company, located at 106 E. Fort Street, was founded more than 60 years ago by the late Ernest Edward Henley and has served the Middle Tennessee region with a steadfast commitment to safety, service, and community.
“Garrett brings a fresh energy to the organization,” said Brett Henley. “He’s forward-thinking, hardworking, and truly passionate about this industry. It’s been incredible watching him grow into this role and carry on what my father started.”
Though he resides in Nolensville, Sager remains deeply involved in the Manchester community through both business and civic engagement. He and his wife, Ashley, have a two-year-old son, Landon, and are expecting a new addition to their family in late August.
Outside of work, Sager enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and—true to form—he proudly admits, “I love propane.”
Henley Propane continues to thrive under the leadership of this new generation, blending time-honored values with innovative ideas to meet the energy needs of local families and businesses.
