BROWN

Robert Paul Brown, age 67, of Manchester, passed from this life on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2025 at Unity Medical Center. Mr. Brown was born Sept. 28, 1957 to the late Robert and Lucille Brown. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Phillis Brown and best dog Roscoe. Mr. Brown is survived by children, Michael (Shannon) Brown, Lori (Arron) Harrison and Jonathan (Brittany) Brown; siblings, special brother and sister-in-law, Johnny (Star) Brown, Brenda (Bruce) Garner, and Jimmy Brown; grandchildren, Papa’s girl and caregiver Karrie Brown, Randal Harrison, Ethan (Tiffany) Brown, Abigale (Josh) Grimes, Kyler Brown, Nathaniel Brown, and Brent Brown; great grandchildren, Jaiden Brown and Ariel Brown; many nieces, nephews, special friends; his dog Spanky and his stray cat, Yeller. Early in life, he worked on a farm for Dick Foster and Kenneth Hawks. Later in life, he worked for Ronnie Freeze, Jeff Lowe Homebuilders and Orville and Dorothy Foster. He enjoyed time with his family, hunting, fishing, being outdoors, riding the roads with his dog Spanky and driving his Corvette. His favorite thing to do was to prank people. He never knew the limits of a joke and often went too far but has always found the funniness and laughter in life. Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, from 4  p.m. until 8 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2025, at noon in the chapel of Central Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Fredonia Cemetery in Coffee County.
