ANGUS
Harold Wayne Angus, known affectionately as “Tinker,” passed away on Feb. 20, 2025, at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, at the age of 60. A native of Bedford County, Tinker was born on September 14, 1964, in Shelbyville, TN to the late Harold Dean Angus and Barbara Jean Lindsey Angus. Tinker spent his career at Walmart, where he was a diligent stocker. Outside of work, Tinker had a passion for the outdoors and could often be found hunting, metal detecting, or adding to his collection of sports memorabilia. Above all, Tinker was a loving uncle, brother, and friend. His ability to fix and improve things extended beyond mechanical objects to the lives of those he cared for. He will be remembered for his generous heart and his knack for making everyone around him feel special; especially his nephews and nieces. He is survived by sisters, Kathy Fletcher (Dennis) May of Manchester, and Susie (Kevin) Broyles of FL; nephews and nieces, whom he adored, Lindsey (Steavon) Bogle, Lucas (Sarah) Fletcher, Jimmy (Sara) Hill, and Ashley (Jordan) Purdy; great nephews/ nieces, Annie (Colton) Bush, Hunter Fletcher, Caleb Fletcher, Justin Fletcher, Jathan Bogle, Braylon Bogle, Brook Bogle, and Alaynah Bogle; great great nephews/ nieces, Kathryn, Opal, Lainy, Collier, Noah, Roane, Abram, Hattie, and JP; along with a host of extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents, and nephew, Ronald Fletcher. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at Willow Mount Cemetery.
