Medley’s at the Oaks reopens Oak Restaurant

John Coffelt, Editor

Long time restaurateurs Bill and Laura Medley opened this week Medley at the Oaks in the location of the former Oak Restaurant.

“We are doing the same thing we did in McMinnville,” Medley said. “We are bringing the meat and three, the beans, potatoes and the good stuff. And the hot soup and salad bar.”

He said the restaurant will offer menu options, in addition to breakfast from 6-10:30 a.m. daily and will have sports grille-type options like pizza, wings and wraps.

Medley at the Oaks will be closed on Mondays, open 6 a.m. -3 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and then Thursdays, Friday and Saturdays will be open from 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Sundays from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

Medley will have on premise consumption of beer.

The Medley family had operated Medleys Diner in Morrison for about 35 years.

“I like to say we bring a restaurant that serves a little bit of everything,” he said. “They had a specialty that was like Greek food, where we have the all-American, beans, potatoes salad bar for people looking for the lighter meals…wraps, appetizers.”

Medley also said for diners there will be hand cut steaks, pasta dishes and Greek chicken.

“If we can’t feed you, nobody can,” he said.

Medley’s opened Tuesday, Feb. 11. Medley’s Diner at The Oaks is located at

947 Interstate Drive in Manchester.
