Ronald “Ronnie” L. Farris, age 75, of Manchester, passed away at home after a brief illness on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 surrounded by family. Mr. Farris was born in Cooke County, Illinois to his late parents T.J. and Emogene Farris. He was a member of the Morrison Church of Christ. He was retired from Bemis Corporation. He enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, gardening, and antiquing with his wife. His favorite charity was donating to local blood drives and has donated over 17 gallons of blood. Mr. Farris is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kathy Blankenship Farris of Manchester; a son, Barry (Dewana) Farris and a daughter, Missy Farris both of Manchester; grandson Austin (Ellie) Farris of Hermitage; brother, Jim (Marcia) Farris of Manchester; brothers-in-law Bill (Wilma) Blankenship and Pete (MaryAnn) Blankenship both of McMinnville; sister-in-law Rebecca (Wilburn) Duncan-Roach of McMinnville; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 27, from noon until 2 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester. Graveside services will be held following visitation at 2:30 p.m. at Hillsboro Presbyterian Cemetery in Hillsboro with burial to follow.
