BAILEY
Joyce “Granny-Gran” Bailey, age 90, of Manchester went to be with her heavenly father Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. She was born Oct. 15, 1934 in Greene County, Tenn. to the late Kenneth S. Gentry and Verna W. (Gosnell) Gentry. In addition to her parents, Joyce is also preceded in death by three of her children, Sharon Lowery, Kenny Myers, and Dennis Myers; sister, Hazel Travis of Greeneville, Tenn.; and brother, Gene Gentry of Mohawk, Tennessee. Joyce loved family, life and God. She raced cars when she was living in North Carolina in her younger years. While attending Camp Creek High School in Greeneville, Tenn. she played basketball and was an all-star player. In her spare time, she loved watching westerns, reading, and napping in her recliner with her dog Brandy. Joyce is survived by her son, Jerry Jones (Debby) of Manchester; daughter, Pam Jones of Manchester; grandchildren, Kay Lowery Yates (Vale) of Manchester, Travis Reed (fiancé, Megan Ferrell) of Manchester, Cory Myers of Nashville, Jillian Nichole Myers of North Carolina, and Tiffany Gurien of Tullahoma; great-grandchildren, Jessica Grimes (Alex), Candace Duncan (Rafel Trull), Hope Reed, Lillee Williams and Alyx McNeal, and McKenzie and Carson Gurien; great great-grandchildren, Elijah Espy and Emeliah Trull; bonus grandchildren, Greyson, Kaydence, Braylon, and Koen; her boys, Johnny Lowery, Eli Kidder, John “Bull” Fletcher, Derek “Tooth” Clark, Bradley and Nicholas Ramsey, and Levon Moran; sister, Marjorie Gentry Mercer; and a host of nieces and nephews. A memorial service was held from 1p.m. until 3 p.m. at the Ada Wright Center in Manchester, Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025.
