Mrs. Jo Ann Horton, 79, of Estill Springs, passed from this life to her heavenly home on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Unity Medical Center in Manchester. She was a devoted member of the Tullahoma First Assembly of God Church for over 20+ years and worked for many years as a store clerk and cashier at Bob’s Patton Food Store, C.B. Food Store, and Walmart. She was born on Aug. 24, 1945, in Tullahoma, to the late Raymond Scott and Lorene Scott Manning. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles W. Horton; her son, Charles H. “Chuck” Horton; her daughter, Vicki Sue Davis; her brothers, James Scott and Leslie Paul Scott; and her sisters, Mary (William “Bill”) Fugate and Nellie Ruth Parsons. She was also preceded in death by her nephew, William Brent Fugate. She is survived by her daughter, Tracy Matlock; her granddaughters, Tammy Daniels, Elizabeth Davis, Autumn Horton, Cierra Horton, Stacy Tant, Lacy Rose, and Cynthia Jones; her brother, Andrew Manning; as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
