Lady Raiders win two more, Raiders fall in wrestling home opener

On Tuesday night at Raider Academy, the CCHS Red Raider wrestling team lost both of their dual matches of the night, but the Lady Raiders won both of their duals in a tri meet with Page and Siegel.
In their first match with Page, the Red Raiders lost 68-6 with Aiden Lindsay (132 pounds) picking up the only individual victory of the match for Coffee County.
The second dual with Siegel would be a lot closer.
Giddian Mascari (113 pounds), Eli McLean (150 pounds), Andrew Miller (165 pounds), Zachary Warrick (175 pounds), Joel Cruz-Martinez (215 pounds) and Lindsay all picked up wins by a fall and Emanuel Rodriguez (157 pounds) won due to an injury timeout called for opponent Josef Helle.
However, Cameron Kerr (120 pounds), Landon Spence (126 pounds), Carlos Valle-Martinez (138 pounds), Layne Hines (144 pounds), Zander Warrick (190 pounds) and Tanner Vernon (285 pounds) all lost by a fall, Coffee County forfeited the 106-pound division and Siegel won the tiebreaker, 43-42.
On the girls side, the Lady Raiders beat Page 12-0 with Jasmine Norris (120 pounds) and Jianna Bare (145 pounds) winning both matches by a fall.
The Lady Raiders also beat Siegel 12-6 with Sophia Rodriguez (100 pounds) losing by a fall, Aime Miller (138 pounds) winning by a fall and Norris winning her second match of the night by a fall.
CCHS wrestling will travel to Smyrna along with Oakland for a tri meet on Thursday, Dec. 12 starting at 6 p.m.
