Lady Raiders go 2-0, Red Raiders fall to Page on Hall of Fame Play Day

The CCHS Lady Raiders defeated Fayetteville 84-43 and beat Nolensville 40-31, but the Red Raiders took a tough, 85-53 loss to Page in the Hall of Fame Play Day on Saturday.
CCHS Lady Raiders Vs Fayetteville Lady Tigers
In their first game of the day, the Lady Raiders took on the Fayetteville Lady Tigers at Coffee County Middle School.
The Lady Raiders began the game with an 11-2 run, then outscored Fayetteville 15-4 the rest of the quarter to pull ahead 26-6 after the first eight minutes with the help of 13 first quarter points from Olivia Vinson.
Fayetteville would try to make things closer in the second quarter, but the Lady Raiders still outscored them 18-16 for a 44-22 lead at the half.
The Lady Raiders would continue to roll in the third quarter, going on a 16-2 run out of the halftime break.
Fayetteville would outscore Coffee County 8-7 to end the quarter, but the Lady Raiders still held a sizable 67-32 lead heading into the fourth quarter, where Coffee County iced the game, 84-43.

CCHS Lady Raiders Vs Nolensville Lady Knights
For their second and final contest of the day, the Lady Raiders were pitted in a defensive battle with the defending 4A District 10 Champion Nolensville Lady Knights.
Both teams defended well in the first quarter, but the Lady Raiders forged ahead for a 9-5 lead after the first frame.
Scoring was still at a premium in the second quarter, but Coffee County outscored the Lady Knights 7-6 for a 16-11 halftime lead.
The Lady Raiders would find some buckets in the third quarter, outscoring Nolensville 13-5 to take a 29-16 lead into the fourth.
Nolensville would chip away at the lead, but the Lady Raiders would hold on for their second win of the day, 40-31.

The Lady Raiders improve to 3-0 on the season and will travel to Cleveland, TN for the Bradley Central Thanksgiving Classic next weekend with their first game being on Friday, Nov. 29 against Power Academy at 6 p.m. EST, and their second game taking place against Ensworth on Friday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. EST.
CCHS Red Raiders Vs Page Patriots
For their only contest of the day, the Red Raiders played host to the Page Patriots at Joe Frank Patch Memorial Gymnasium.
The Patriots went on a quick 11-3 run at the start, fueling themselves to a 21-10 lead after the first quarter.
Page continued to show off their athleticism in the second, outscoring the Red Raiders 22-6 for a 43-16 halftime lead.
Coffee County showed some fight in the third quarter, outscoring the Patriots 27-17 to slim the deficit to 60-43 heading into the fourth quarter, but the Patriots would finish things off in the final frame to win 85-53.
