CCMS splits with Tullahoma West

The Coffee Middle Lady Raiders kept their perfect record alive with a 40-18 victory while the Red Raiders’ 10-game winning streak came to a close in a 38-34 loss against Tullahoma West on Friday night.
CCMS Lady Raiders
The Lady Raiders’ defensive identity was on display yet again in their win over the Lady Bobcats, as Coffee County allowed only three first half points to gain a halftime lead of 19-3.
Coffee County would get to play everybody on the bench in the game, and the Lady Raiders would outscore West 21-15 in the second half for a 40-18 victory and their third conference win of the week.
Jenslee Nogodula led the Lady Raiders in scoring for the seventh time this season with 14 points.
The Coffee Middle Lady Raiders improve to 12-0 on the season and 9-0 in CTC play.
CCMS Red Raiders
In the boys game, a quiet third quarter on offense kept the Red Raiders from obtaining their 11th straight win of the season
The Bobcats had the edge in the first quarter, outscoring Coffee County 12-8, but the Red Raiders fought back in the second quarter, outscoring West 11-6 for a 19-18 halftime lead.
Coffee County’s offense would struggle to score in the third quarter, only managing four points while the Bobcats scored nine to take a 27-23 lead into the fourth quarter.
Both teams battled hard in the fourth, but the Bobcats held off the Red Raiders for the 38-34 win.
