CCMS wrestling hosts Eighth Grade Night, takes part in Raider Rumble

This past week, the Coffee Middle wrestling team played host to Eighth Grade Night on Tuesday, Nov. 19 and placed second in the Copper Division at the Cleveland Raider Rumble on Saturday, Nov. 23.
Nov. 19 Vs Christiana Middle
On Tuesday, the Red Raiders picked up a 47-30 dual win over Christiana Middle.
Before the match, the team celebrated their eighth grade members: Joshua Mainville Jr., Toccoa Gaines, Abram George, Caden Harris, Judd Harwell, Parker Jennings, Caden Kidd, Jesse Lester, Robert Morrison, Landon Nowlin, Mason Tudor, Jaidin Uselton, Luke Warrick, DJ Weitzel, Dyson Leverette and Kyden Morris (not pictured).
Nov. 23 at Cleveland Raider Rumble
On Saturday, the team took part in the Raider Rumble at Cleveland Middle School.
In pool play, the Raiders lost to Saddle Ridge 51-35, lost to Lake Forest 60-27, beat Chattanooga Christian 42-30 and lost to Cleveland 59-30.
The Red Raiders were placed in the Copper Division Championship, but forfeited the match to Church Hill Middle, giving Coffee County second place in the division.
Jaidin Uselton, Tripp Trussler and Caden Harris all went 4-0 in their individual matches.
On the girls side, Alivia Jernigan went 2-1, Zaila Hussey and Parker Jennings went 1-2, Lilah Davis went 1-3 and Brinley Bennett went 0-3.
The CCMS wrestling team will be back in action on Tuesday, Nov. 26 for the Area Dual Tournament at Warren County.
