Lady Rockets roll to 2-0 start, Rockets fall to 1-1

The Westwood Lady Rockets picked up a decisive 46-23 win while the Rockets fell 43-22 on Thursday night at Tullahoma West.

The Lady Rockets would get off to another slow start on offense in the first quarter, but their defense kept the Lady Bobcats scoreless, and after six minutes of play, Westwood held a 7-0 lead.
Tullahoma West would get on the board with five points in the second quarter, but Westwood scored eight points to give themselves a halftime advantage of 15-5.
Similar to their season-opening win over North, the Lady Rocket offense seemed to flip a switch after the halftime break, scoring 18 points in the third quarter, 10 of which belonged to Jerzee Ferrell.
West would answer with 12 points of their own in the third, but the Lady Rockets took a 33-17 lead into the fourth quarter, where they finished things off with a 46-23 win.

Tullahoma West would have the edge at the start, outscoring the Rockets 13-7 in the first quarter with all seven of Westwood’s points coming from Isiah Buchanan.
The Bobcats continued to roll in the second quarter, adding seven points to their lead and holding the Rockets to just two points to hold a halftime advantage of 20-9.
Westwood outscored Tullahoma 9-7 in the third to chip away at the Bobcat lead, but the Bobcats would open things up in the fourth, outscoring Westwood 16-4 to win the game 43-22.
