Raider golf wins three way battle in Lewisburg

Noah Costello and Jaxon Phillips both led the way for Coffee County against Franklin County and Marshall County in a nine hole match at Saddle Creek Golf Club on Thursday.
Costello and Phillips each carded a 37 as Levi Rossman scored a 38 and Jack Stowe turned in a 39 to give Coffee County a team score of 151. Carter Bell managed a 49 for the Red Raiders in individual scoring.
Marshall County placed second among the trio of teams with a team score of a 172 with their best individual effort coming from John Michael Darnell, who scored a 39.
Franklin County scored a 190 as a team with their best effort being turned in by Garrett Patterson, who carded a 40.
For the Lady Raiders, Leah Kate Sullivan scored a 46 while Karsyn Riddle scored a 58.
Marshall County’s Nellie Neece was the only other individual that was scored in the girls match and the best of the three competitors with a score of 45.
Red Raider golf will be back at home to face Marion County on Monday, Sept. 9 at WillowBrook Golf Club.
