Manchester residents came together to celebrate the nation’s Independence Day with food, fireworks and music by Burning Las Vegas in what has become a community tradition at Rotary Park.
Manchester resident Shaina Steere said it was her family’s second year attending the Fourth of July fireworks show.
“Last year we swam and then we came out here and we enjoyed the music and the food trucks,” she said.
Steere said she thinks it a community hosting an Independence Day event is important for community spirit.
“It brings everybody together and is something fun for the kids to do outside of their home,” she said.
Irvin Leroux said he moved to Manchester from central Florida in 2006 and enjoys events at the park.
“Everybody gets together and meets and maybe we make new friends,” he said.
After a two-hour show by Burning Las Vegas, the fireworks officially began to light up the night sky for the culmination of the celebration.
