Braves rout Cardinals for 18U Championship

On Friday, July 19, the J&L Home Renovations Braves defeated the West Electric Cardinals 17-6 to claim the Manchester Youth Baseball League 18U Tournament Championship.
The Braves dominated at the start, jumping out to a 7-0 lead through the first inning of play.
West Electric would score five in the top of the second inning to draw within two, but the Braves scored another three times in the bottom of the inning to make the score 10-5.
The Cardinals would get one back in the top of the third to trim the Braves’ lead to 10-6, but the Braves drove in another seven runs in the bottom of the third to go up 17-6.
No team would score in the fourth inning and the J&L Home Renovations would secure the 18U Championship crown.
For the Braves, Caleb Crouch led the way at the plate with three hits in four at-bats, including two RBIs. On the opposite side, Jay Sparkman had one hit and one RBI in two plate appearances for the Cardinals.
The regular season standings looked quite different in the top two positions, as the J&G Pizza and Steakhouse Yankees placed first with the Homes by Hobbs Mets coming in second.
