On Thursday evening, the CCCHS Red Raiders beat the Columbia Central Lions 1-0 in the 3A District 9 Semifinals.
The game was originally slated to take place on Tuesday, May 7 at Raider Academy, but after several days of inclement weather and a couple of location changes, the game took place on Thursday at Blackman High School.
Coffee County would break the ice in the 27th minute, as Joel Barrera scored to give the Red Raiders a 1-0 lead. Cayden Trail would get credit for the assist.
The Lions would have several great scoring chances in the second half, but the Red Raider defense, along with goalie Brayden Trail kept the opposition scoreless for the 1-0 win.
Coffee County will advance to the District Championship Game where they will meet either Spring Hill or Shelbyville Central on Friday, May 10.
