Red Raider Soccer shuts out Spring Hill

On Thursday night, the CCCHS Red Raiders beat Spring Hill 4-0 for their third district win of the season.

The Red Raiders came flying out of the gates at the start, scoring two minutes into the game as Ethan Sloan scored his team-leading ninth goal of the season to give the Red Raiders a 1-0 lead. Joel Barrera would get credit for the assist.

Coffee County would pad their lead in the 20th minute, with Thomas Roberts netting his first goal of the year and Barrera getting his second assist of the game to give the Red Raiders a 2-0 lead heading into the halftime break.

With just one minute played in the second half, Cayden Trail scored on a corner kick by Barrera to give Coffee County a 3-0 advantage. It would be the third assist of the night for Barrera.

Spring Hill would have a prime opportunity to score as they were awarded a penalty kick with 10 minutes to go, but Brayden Trail made the save to keep the game at 3-0.

For good measure, Cayden Trail scored his second goal of the game on a free kick from Logan Geddes with four minutes left to play and Coffee County held on for the 4-0 win. Trail has now scored six goals in his last five games.

The Red Raiders improved to 8-1-2 with the win and are 6-0-1 in games where they have held their opponent scoreless.
