On Tuesday night, the Coffee County Red Raiders lost a close battle at Blackman, 2-0.

The first inning would be scoreless, but the Blaze scored two runs in the second inning to take an early lead.

Cole Pippenger would hit a single in the top of the fourth inning, but that would prove to be Coffee County’s only hit of the game and the Blaze would hold on for the win, outhitting Coffee County, 3-1.

Timothy Henderson would get the loss on the mound, pitching in all six innings, allowing two runs on three hits, striking out six batters and walking four on 101 pitches.

The Red Raiders fall to 3-4 on the season and will get another shot at Blackman at home on Wednesday, Mar. 20 at 6:00 pm.
