Barlow wins Section Title, Myers places third

On Saturday, the TSSAA boys wrestling Class 2A Section 2 Championships were held at Warren County High School, where Coffee County had two wrestlers advance to State.
Barlow placed first in the 150 pound division after beating Bradley Central’s Kyle Hogg by a decision in the first place match.
Blayne Myers placed third in the 285 pound division after defeating Walker Valley’s Jeremiah Townsend by a fall in the third place match.
Both Barlow and Myers will advance to the State Championships next week at Williamson County Ag Expo Center from Feb. 22-24.
Coffee County had three other wrestlers in the Section Championships.
In the 120 pound division, Sean Sanders lost in the first round of the consolation bracket by a fall.
Austin Green would lose by a fall in the first round of consolation in the 138 pound division.
Ian Walker would make it to the semifinal round of the consolation bracket of the 190 pound division, but he would lose on a disqualification.
