Mrs. Dorothy Carolyn “Dot” Haley, age 75, of Manchester, passed from this life on Sunday, Jan. 14, 2024, in Murfreesboro. Dot was born in Nashville, to her late parents Lonnie Richardson and Eula Briley Richardson. She was a homemaker all of her life. Dot loved her animals. In her younger years she loved riding horses with her brother and she had several cherished household pets through the years. Dot especially loved her dog, Bandy, her long-haired Chihuahua. She also enjoyed baking, loved working outside with her flowers, and enjoyed crafting, drawing, and painting. Dot loved the beauty of nature and always put others before herself. She loved the mountains. She especially loved driving fast and riding four wheelers with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Charles (Evelyn) Pulley and close friends, Lillian Snare and Shelba Miller. Dot is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jimmy Haley; daughter, Teresa (Pamela) Haley; brother, Wayne (Brenda) Richardson; brother-in-law, Rickey Haley; nieces and nephews, Richard (Amber) Haley, Renea Pulley, Jerry Pulley, Brandy Adkins, Eric Heilman, and Coy Richardson; close friend, Sharon McWhirter. Visitation was held Saturday, Jan. 20, from noon until 2 p.m. at Central Funeral Home in Manchester. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Central Funeral Home with family presiding. Burial followed at Fredonia Cemetery in Manchester.
