Red Raiders lose to Lewisburg, fall short of sectionals

On Friday night, the Coffee Middle Red Raiders lost to the Lewisburg Tigers in the AAA Area 6 consolation game.

The Red Raiders raced out in front at the start, outscoring Lewisburg 11-6 in the first quarter and outscoring them 9-7 in the second quarter for a 20-13 halftime lead.

The Tigers chipped away at the Red Raider lead in the third, outscoring Coffee 13-9 to trail 29-26 heading into the fourth.

Lewisburg took over in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Red Raiders 12-5 to take the win, 38-34.

With the win, Lewisburg ends the season for the Red Raiders as they move on to the sectional round as a #3 seed.

Scoring for the Red Raiders in the Area Tournament consolation game were Jaxon Pruitt with 15 points, Landyn Stiefel with seven points, Ryan Abellana with five points, Jack Oliver with four points and Jude Golembiewski with three points.

The Coffee Middle Red Raiders finish the season with a 9–14 record.
