CCMS Red Raiders beat Whitwell, lose to Soddy Daisy and Warren

On Tuesday night, the Coffee Middle Wrestling Team picked up a win over the Whitwell Tigers, but couldn’t overcome the Soddy Daisy Twins or Warren County Pioneers.
Against the Tigers, Rylee Mcbroom, Landon Carson, Tripp Trussler and Jayden Melton all won their matchups with a first round pin while Toccoa Gaines took three rounds to win by a pin and Kameron Stafford went three rounds before winning on points.
The Red Raiders also had three wins by a way of forfeit en route to a 52-36 win.
In their match with the Twins, the Red Raiders had William Barlow and Marcus Jaidin Uselton winning by a first round pin as well as another first round pin by Mcbroom and a second round pin by Stafford.
However, the Red Raiders had eight wrestlers lose their matchups and the Twins also picked up three forfeit wins to win the match 60-24.
Facing the Pioneers, Carson won his second match of the night by another first round pin, while Trussler, Melton and Barlow won in two rounds by a pin and Stafford won his third match of the night with a three round points win.
But the Red Raiders would lose to the Pioneers with seven Red Raider wrestlers losing their matchups and the Pioneers would pick up three forfeit wins on their way to a 52-27 win.
The next meet for the Coffee Middle Wrestling team will be at Beech with Prescott Middle School on Thursday, Nov. 16.
