On Tuesday night, the Coffee Central Red Raider wrestling team opened up their season at Cane Ridge High School.

The Red Raider Boys fell in their match against Cane Ridge.

Jacob Barlow would pick up a win by a fall with Sean Sanders, Joel Cruz-Martinez and Kerry Norris winning by a forfeit.

However, Eli McLean would lose on a major decision with Owen Shelton, Zachary Warrick, Tommy Miller and Jake Donnan all losing their matches by a fall.

Cane Ridge would also pick up a forfeit win to beat the Red Raiders, 34-24.

The second match for the Coffee Boys Team would fair a lot better against James Lawson High School.

Barlow, Cruz-Martinez, McLean, Warrick and Miller would all win their matches by a fall and Sanders would win by a forfeit.

Norris, Shelton and Donnan would all lose by a fall, and James Lawson would pick up three forfeit wins, but the Red Raiders won, 36-30.

The Coffee Girls Team had a stellar night, winning both matches.

Against Cane Ridge, Jasmine Norris, Payton Robertson, Gabriella Silva, Jianna Bare and Ellysia Jennings all won their matchups by a fall, and Coffee would win 30-0.

Bare would also win by a fall with Sara Crosslin winning by a fall in Coffee’s win over James Lawson, 12-0.

Coffee Central Wrestling will be back in action against Tullahoma and Cookeville at Raider Academy on Thursday, Nov. 30
