Lady Raiders win, Red Raiders fall to Harris

On Thursday night, the Coffee Middle Lady Raiders improved to 12-0 with a win over Harris, while the Red Raiders couldn’t overcome the Eagles.
The Lady Raiders had yet another fantastic performance on defense, this time against the Harris Eaglettes.
Coffee won the game, 46-15 and improved their record to 12-0 on the season.
Fittingly, the Lady Raiders were led in scoring by Hayleigh Harris, who scored 14 points.
Also scoring for the Lady Raiders were Addalyn Clark with 12 points, Harper Crosslin with five points, Jenslee Nogodula and Isabelle Saner with four points each, Avery Pruitt with four points, Maddi Scott with two points and Kinsley Pruitt with one point.
Meanwhile, the Red Raiders started the game out close, but couldn’t hang on with the Eagles.
After the first quarter, the score was tied at 7-7, then Harris pulled away, outscoring Coffee 12-4 in the second quarter for a 19-11 halftime lead.
The Red Raiders would try to keep pace in the second half, being only outscored 15-14, but the first half deficit proved to be too much, and the Red Raiders lost, 34-25.
Scoring for the Red Raiders were Warren Simmons with seven points, Ethan Arnold, Landyn Stiefel and Jerrad Morgan each with five points and Jaxon Pruitt with three points.
The Red Raiders fall to 5-7 on the season.
Next up for Coffee Middle Basketball will be a home matchup on Monday, Dec.4 against West Tullahoma.
