Lady Raider Volleyball splits opening week

Lady Raider Volleyball was set to open their season at home on Monday, Aug. 14, but due to some facility problems, the game was cancelled.
Instead, the girls opened their season in Tullahoma on Tuesday, Aug. 15. The Lady Raiders lost the game 0-3 in sets of 20-25, 18-25 and 20-25.
In this match, Allie Sullivan pulled five digs while Zowee Dillard managed four. Dillard also got seven kills in the match. Meanwhile, Savannah Cooper landed 3 aces.
Two days later, the Lady Raiders stepped up their game.
In Winchester on Thursday, Aug. 17, Coffee County won over Franklin Co. 3-1 in sets of 25-21, 25-21, 18-25 and 25-18.
Lady Raider Volleyball managed a total of 21 digs with Sullivan leading with six while Pruitt followed with five.
Zowee Dillard led in kills with 15 over the team total of 34. The team also hit three aces over the course of the game.
Lady Raider Volleyball will try again for a home game on Tuesday, Aug. 22 before traveling to Lincoln Co. on Thursday, Aug. 24.
