Raiders season ends in Cleveland

The Raiders’ season officially came to a close Saturday night. On Feb. 25, the Raider basketball team traveled to Cleveland High School for their region tournament first round matchup.
Only Jackson Shemwell and Cooper Reed scored in the first quarter putting the Raiders down 21-6. By halftime, Cleveland was steadily ahead 37-18. The second quarter saw points from Dayne Crosslin, Shemwell and Jahlin Osborne.
Reed, Osborne and Crosslin each added points in the third quarter while Deion Subaran scored a 3. At the end of the third quarter, the Raiders couldn’t cut into the growing Cleveland lead as they fell further behind 53-30.
In the final quarter, Brady Wright, Shemwell, Osborne and Caiden Warren each scored points. Cayden Trail added a bucket from beyond the arc.
The Raiders ultimately fell to Cleveland 79-44 while being led by Osborn’s 13 followed by Shemwell’s 9. Their season closes 16-11 overall.
