James Russell Cox, age 84, of Manchester, passed away peacefully on Feb. 28, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born on March 2, 1938, in Nashville, to the late Jimmy W. and Pauline (Green) Cox. James was a Glazier by trade, but his passions was working on and restoring cars. In his spare time, he enjoyed going for boat rides and fast cars. James will be remembered by all as a free spirit who loved everything. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Gary Cox, sons, David and Toby. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Brown; sons, Terry Cox and Gary Simpson-Cox (Ashley); sister, Glenda Bell; three grandsons and dearest friends and caretakers, Sarah Sain and Greg Bates. Private family services will be held later.
