Alzheimer’s Tennessee will host its annual fundraiser Purple Olympics Saturday, May 6 at Tullahoma High School.

The event will include a ceremonies, food, door prizes, music and activities.

Alzheimer’s Tennessee is the only organization with a local branch that supports families in the area with related dementia and Alzheimer’s conditions.

The group is celebrating the recent passage by the state of the Silver Alert notification system that alerts area first responders and the public to a missing senior similar to a missing child.

Starting in June the organization will begin holding a support group meeting at Bailey Manor on the first Monday of the month.
