Local songwriter Becky Buller and Ned Luberecki are among this year’s nominees for the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards.

Their nominations include: Gospel Recording Of the Year for “Tell Me The Story Of Jesus,” with words by Fanny Crosby and music by John R. Sweney.

Becky Buller performs the song with Vince Gill and Ricky Skaggs featured on “The Perfect Gift,” Dark Shadow Recording.

Luberecki is up for Banjo Player Of The Year. Luberecki will be returning as the voice of the IBMA Award Show.

Buller’s co-wrote the song “Goodbye Girl” is featured on Molly Tuttle’s album Crooked Tree, which is up for IBMA’s 2023 Album Of The Year.

The 2023 IBMA Award Show will be held Thursday, September 28, at the Duke Energy Center in Raleigh, NC. More information and a complete list of the nominees can be found at IBMA.org.
